Spiced Apple Spritz 

Layered with sweet and tart flavors, the Spiced Apple Spritz combines Maker’s Mark Classic with apple cider, sparkling wine, and a special blend of spices for a unique demerara syrup. With a splash of fresh lemon juice and apple slice for garnish, this cocktail will be the belle of the fall.

What you need

  • 1 Maker’s Mark®KentuckyStraightBourbon
  • 1 fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 demerara syrup (2:1 sugar to water add a cinnamon stick, grated nutmeg and a few cloves to the pan)
  • 2 apple cider
  • Dry sparkling wine
  • Apple slices (to garnish)

STEP 1: MIX THE INGREDIENTS

Add all ingredients apart from sparkling wine in a shaker.

STEP 2: SHAKE AND STRAIN

Shake and strain over cubed ice in a chilled glass.

STEP 3: GIVE IT A SPRITZ

Top with sparkling wine and lightly stir. Garnish with apple slices.

TO MAKE DEMERARA SYRUP

Combine 2:1 sugar to water in pan. Add a cinnamon stick, grated nutmeg, and few cloves.

Each and every bottle of Maker's is still hand-dipped in our signature red wax at our distillery in Loretto, KY., just like Bill, Sr. would have wanted.

It has since become one of our favorites and is widely considered a modern classic.
